A Speaker Who Understands

Lara understands that true confidence doesn’t come from being perfect. It comes from being real. She is compelled to share important lessons with audiences who are ready to stop managing their lives and start investing in them, so they can be the person they are truly meant to be.

A parent, photographer, entrepreneur, and former academic “super-nerd,” Lara holds a bachelor of science degree in Theatre and Linguistics from Northwestern University. In between acting and photography careers, she trained and worked as a dental hygienist – where she began to finally see the importance of staying true to your heart (uh, dental hygiene? Really?).

Over the years, she’s been an influential leader, making a difference in many organizations, including the Professional Photographers of America, The Professional Photographers of Washington, The Shoreline Chamber of Commerce, and her local Parent Teacher Student Association – among others.

Her over-achiever tendencies have resulted in many accolades and awards that recognize her skills in photography, her commitment to excellence, and her impact as a community leader.

The ROI of Presence: How Attention Pays Dividends in Work and Life

Between work deadlines, sports & music practice, and never-ending piles of laundry, being “present” can feel impossible. But what if presence is actually the smartest investment you can make, not just for your family & work, but also for your sanity? In this heartfelt keynote, Lara shows busy parents how attention turns everyday chaos into beautiful memories that pay dividends later in life. Using her proprietary R.O.I. framework, Lara gives audiences practical tools to rediscover joy, deepen connection, and make every moment count.
