Capturing life’s miracles: A cancer survivor’s journey to motherhood
Edith is a miracle baby girl.
Erin, her mother, is a breast cancer survivor. Like so many out there fighting the disease, she faced it with grit and determination, but also hope for the future. Before she underwent cancer treatment, Erin had some of her eggs frozen so one day she might be able to start a family. After a grueling fight she finally got the news her cancer was in remission, and she was finally ready to try.
She and her husband Justin would have just one chance to try for a baby, and it worked! When she asked me to photograph their newborn photography session, I couldn’t say no. Her resiliency and tenacity to beat cancer and welcome this gorgeous bundle of joy into the world was a story that had to be captured in print.
