Freedom. Fun. Character. These are things I aim to capture in a photograph. When I give people the freedom to have fun in a comfortable and safe environment, they show me their souls. It happens again and again, and each time it is just as inspiring.
Trapped in the constraints of a studio setting, it is sometimes difficult to tap into that freedom. I want my subjects to be comfortable expressing themselves without the constraints and self-awareness that studio photography often entails. To photograph children and families on location is invigorating. Clients leave their sessions with not only pictures to cherish for a lifetime, but memories as well. I hope that each and every photo session I conduct will be memorable as an experience in itself.
I will be happy to meet you at the location of your choice – your home, a park, the beach, the zoo – any place that inspires you will inspire me. I will schedule three hours to work with you. This allows time for the countless number of things that might bring stress to a photo session. With ample time, the bumps in the road become an adventure (and sometimes a photo opportunity) rather than a frustration. Some sessions last one hour; many last three.
